Kept on your computer

Trades, backtests, notes, screenshots and settings are stored only on your computer, in the app’s data folder. We have no access to them and do not copy them to a server.

Kept on the server

For sign-in and the subscription: your email address, sign-up and last sign-in dates, the Pro end date and payment records (order number, amount, coin, network and transaction hash, status). When it checks the subscription, the app reports its version and system (e.g. darwin-arm64) so we know which versions are in use. Trades, screenshots and settings are not sent. They are stored with Supabase.

Free trial

On your first sign-in the server turns on a 7-day Pro trial and keeps your email and the end date, so the trial can be had only once. The app receives a signed licence from the server (your account id and Pro dates) to check it offline.

Error reports

A report is sent only when you press “Send” in the window showing its text, or if you turned on automatic sending yourself (off by default). It holds the app version, the system, the error text and the last lines of the app’s log. Home-folder paths and email addresses in it are shortened. No trades, notes or screenshots are in a report. For rate limiting an anonymised hash of the address is kept, never the address itself.

Feedback

A message from the in-app form is kept with its kind, the app version and system and — if you added them — an email for the reply and a window screenshot. A window screenshot may show what was on screen, so it is attached only if you choose to.

Other services involved

• NOWPayments takes crypto payments and sees the payment details.
• Resend delivers the sign-in code to your email.
• The app loads the economic calendar from TradingView, exchange rates from open.er-api.com and checks for updates on GitHub. These requests carry none of your trades.
• The website loads Google Fonts and release data from GitHub.

Cookies and analytics

We use no advertising cookies. The website may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without cross-site tracking. Clicks on “Download” (with the system: Mac or Windows) and “Buy” are counted with no data about the visitor — only the event, the page language and the tag of the link the visitor came by (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, e.g. “tiktok”). The same tag is kept with an order, to see where purchases come from. The browser keeps only your language choice and the console sign-in session.

Deletion

To delete your account, payment records, error reports and messages, write to xell.journal@gmail.com. Local data is removed with the app’s data folder.
